Hi, I’m Amanda

Thank you for popping over to my about me page. I feel it's important for you to get to know the face behind who is creating your flowers.

I won’t give you my life’s story, well I will try not to. Those that know me do say I like to chat…especially all things ‘flowery’!

How it all started…

My most vivid earliest memory is way back when I was only 3 years old. My parents used to take me to pick bluebells and snowdrops every year in the local woods. I remember the excitement of seeing a blanket of beautiful blue flowers and having the freedom to explore and pick a bunch to take home. I always had to wear my #little red wellies and remember fondly how my grandparents each had a framed photo of me, in my favourite wellies and showing off the biggest bunch that I could pick.

My floral journey…

I started as an apprentice in 2000 whilst attending college and gradually worked my way up to manager. Once qualified in 2003, I went freelance, then eventually took the plunge and opened my own shop in Cheltenham.

In 2012 I moved to Gloucester, where I obtained another shop, but am now happier working from my workshop supplying mainly weddings and funerals.

This means I can give more time to my customers and personalise my service...it works for me.

Happy Florist…Happy Customers!

My little helper…

…our dog Clay! He often sits and waits at my workshop door to be given a cut stem from the bin, then runs off and chews it on the lawn. It’s those little things that make my working day fun, and one of the reasons I love my job so much...they say you are born to work with flowers…this is definitely my case.

“I am transported back to me as a child in the woods ‘picking bluebells’ when placing an order. There’s nothing quite like the rush of excitement when seeing new varieties of flowers or colours that amaze me, and hitting the ‘order button’ from the Dutch Auctions.”
